Guiding Principle

The NC is committed to a governance structure that facilitates transparency and accountability and is consistent with the policy on national committee governance. We are committed to abiding by the values, principles, and policies of the UWC movement. 

National Committee Commitments

  1. To ensure the safety of its members

  2. To support and further advance the skill sets of its members

  3. To ensure that it is inclusive to the extent possible and reasonable in its structure and execution of activities and responsibilities

  4. To adhere to the stated mission, strategy, values, and principles of UWC International and to communicate these within the committee

  5. To act in accordance with all policy and protocol established by UWC International and the obligation to report to UWC International annually

  6. To operate an organizational structure appropriate to the functions it performs

  7. To be mutually supportive of other national committees, UWC International, UWC schools and colleges, other UWC members and each-other

  8. In a timely manner, to inform, support, and collaborate with, UWC International and other UWC members

  9. In case of disagreements or conflicts with other UWC members, resolve issues in a timely, respectful, and transparent manner.
