SELECTION PROCESS: An Opportunity for Education

The goal of the selection process is to provide a mini UWC experience, select students that would go to UWC college, and empower every participant to ideate, initiate, and take steps to create positive sustainable changes in their community. For those who not only dream but do. We aim to bring you closer together. UWC is one of the ways of making a positive impact in the world, but not the only one. In our application, we are trying to challenge you to think deeper, reflect, dive into yourself, and explore. We challenge you to step out of your comfort zone and discover something new.

Stages:

There are 3 stages in the selection process. All the stages due to COVID-19 are going to take place online.

1. The first stage is the essay-based application.  It takes place from mid-September to mid-November. The results of the first stage would be released at the beginning of January.

2. The second stage is the English/ Farsi one-on-one interview. It would take place during the middle of January. The results should be expected at the end of January.

3. The third stage consists of a series of interactive activities scattered throughout the two weeks. It includes group discussions, interviews in Farsi/ English, workshops, and group activities. The results of the third and final stage should be expected by the end of February.
